Dallas City of Learning 2023 Report
Annual Report from Dallas City of Learning Presents data across entire academic year
Big Thought, serving as the backbone agency for Dallas City of Learning (DCoL), has continued its focus on enhancing out-of-school time (OST) programs for youth in Dallas. By offering a broad spectrum of support to program providers, DCoL aims to increase access, dosage, and quality across the ecosystem while fostering community engagement and uplift.
This 2022-2023 report from Big Thought Institute covers the Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Summer 2023 terms, expanding the scope from previous reports that focused solely on summer.
The report aligns with the DCoL Whole-Year Framework, presenting data across the entire academic year, including summer. For the first time, school-year programming and year-round totals are included, establishing a baseline for future analyses. The report is structured according to the DCoL logic model and theory of change, emphasizing support services, program access, dosage, quality, and perceived short-term outcomes for youth.
